Maintenance Manager

MISSION

To lead a team in ensuring the availability and reliability of equipment within the assigned sector while optimizing maintenance costs and energy consumption through a continuous improvement approach. This role supports production in achieving its objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and delivery performance.

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

• Risks Prevention Plan is applied, safety requirements are taken into account (Personnel and equipment).
• The maintenance strategy is applied to equipment criticality.
• Maintenance plans are implemented, and include the process influent parameters (including contribution to the control of the process by the implementation, application and evolution of maintenance plans).
• Effectiveness of interventions is continuously optimized (Analysis of maintenance results and implementation of necessary actions in a dynamic of continuous progress over short and medium term horizons (Week / Month).
• Maintenance cost is optimized (operational efficiency, energy and spare parts consumption.
• The steps and tools of MMW and standard in orderliness and cleanliness are applied.
• The durability of equipment is ensured, in particular by dealing with obsolescence cases.
• Resources are adapted (Competency and quantity), Training and succession plans are created.

CANDIDATE PROFLE

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, or an equivalent discipline.
• Preferably 4-5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and budgeting will be an added advantage.
• Experience with CMMS systems (SAP PM experience is preferred).
• Experience in condition-based maintenance techniques, including thermography, vibration analysis, ultrasound analysis, and other predictive maintenance practices.
• Experience in implementing world-class lubrication management best practices.
• Experience in applying reliability engineering and continuous improvement methodologies, including RCA, FMEA and Pareto Analysis, to drive improvements in maintenance KPIs such as MTBF and MTTR .
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Sinhala, along with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated customer focus, teamwork and collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
