(SWE) Senior General Ledger Accountant

#MISSION : The accountant assists the Accounting Manager or the Accounting Cycle Analyst with Group and local norms accounting activities.

He/She handles layout, entry, verification, control, quality and consistency of accounting transactions and accounts within his/her remit.

He/She ensures these activities comply with Group referentials and relevant country's legislation and such information is available within prescribed deadlines for preparation of financial statements.

What You Will Do

·Lead Closing Activities: Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely account reconciliations.

·Manage General Ledger: Process journal entries and ensure accurate GL coding to support seamless monthly closings.

·Handle Core Transactions: Manage and record inventory adjustments, and oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

·Ensure Data Accuracy: Prepare, upload, and validate reporting data within Group financial tools on schedule.

·Collaborate with Leadership: Partner with the Controller, Chief Accountant, and CFO to investigate and resolve complex accounting queries.

·Maintain Documentation: Draft, review, and continuously update clear and accessible process documentation.

·Monitor Compliance: Execute and uphold internal financial controls.

·Provide Financial Insights: Generate and deliver ad-hoc financial reports as requested by management.

· Technical Proficiency: Strong MS Office skills, specifically intermediate-to-advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF/COUNT functions).
