As a Trenchless Project Engineer with Mi-Tech, you’ll apply your engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills to design and support complex underground infrastructure projects using methods such as HDD, microtunneling, auger boring, tunneling, and Direct Pipe. You’ll prepare calculations and supporting engineering analyses, develop plans in AutoCAD, and help solve design and field challenges for projects crossing beneath rivers, highways, and other sensitive or technically complex areas. It’s a hands-on role that blends engineering design, construction support, and real-world problem solving.

What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering or related engineering field from an ABET accredited program
- 3+ years of experience with trenchless design (HDD, microtunneling, Direct Pipe, or conventional auger boring)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or willingness to attain PE licensure
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with AutoCAD desired
- Solid understanding of civil design and drawings
- Strong ability for critical thinking and problem solving
- Ability to accommodate occasional travel for meetings, site visits, and short-term construction assignments
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
