micro1 is a US AI data company based in Miami that supplies frontier AI labs with expert-generated training data, model evaluations and reinforcement-learning environments, drawing on a network of vetted specialists. Its offerings include Intelligence Realm for frontier evaluations, Cortex for monitoring and improving agentic AI, and expert-demonstrated data for robotics labs, and it grew out of a service that matched companies with pre-vetted remote software developers. It recruits PhD and MSc domain experts in STEM, medicine, law and engineering as contract AI trainers, alongside software and ML engineers, attorneys, recruiters and partnership managers.

Role Title: Research Engineer - Code Generation & Model Evaluation

Role Type: ContractorLocation: Remote

  3. Proven track record of open-source contributions or participation in collaborative software projects.
  4. Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex problem constraints and multiple solution paths.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate technical details clearly.
  6. Meticulous attention to detail in code validation and output consistency.
  7. Experience working independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
  8. Commitment to producing high-quality, well-documented code under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience as a problem setter, tester, or checker on major competitive programming platforms.
