About the Role
Micron Singapore’s NAND Process Development (PD) team invites a motivated and committed engineer to contribute to next-generation 3D NAND technologies. You will coordinate with worldwide teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to design, optimize, and transition advanced CMP processes from research into high-volume manufacturing. Position Overview
As an Engineer - PD SG CMP, you will play a meaningful role in developing advanced CMP processes. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to work on innovative technology and be part of a team that builds the future of memory solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) processes for advanced 3D NAND technologies.
- Characterize, optimize, and qualify CMP processes for future memory nodes.
- Work together with international teams based in Singapore and suppliers to fulfill technology and integration needs.
- Transfer new processes into manufacturing and drive continuous improvements in yield, quality, cost, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot process and manufacturing issues, and develop effective solutions.
- Build and complete experiments (DOE) to improve process capability and manufacturability.
- Evaluate new consumables, hardware, and process technologies for future applications.
- Drive process simplification, process control, and monitoring strategies.
- Contribute to innovation through patents, technical papers, and new technology development.
- Ensure compliance with Micron intellectual property policies and collaborate closely with global collaborators.
- AI-enabled ways of working / AI proficiencyThis role is expected to use Micron-approved AI tools to improve productivity, quality, and speed of execution where applicable (e.g., summarizing technical information, drafting experiment plans/DOE outlines, accelerating troubleshooting documentation, and improving communication). Team members must apply responsible AI practices, including protecting confidential information, using only approved tools, and maintaining human review and accountability for all outputs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in a similar engineering role, with a track record of successful project implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambitious environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or relevant experience considered equivalent.
- Experience working with memory and storage technologies.
- Familiarity with advanced engineering tools and software.
- Demonstrated ability to compete and excel in a highly competitive industry.
