Job Description Summary

As a Metrology Member Technical Staff at Micron Technology, Inc., you will support multiple process engineering and integration teams by developing and optimizing metrology methods to enhance yield, quality, and cost efficiency. Key duties include identifying and resolving metrology gaps, driving yield improvement strategies, collaborating with central teams, TD, and suppliers to enable inline detection and control, and managing detection performance and supplier engagement for metrology.

Responsibilities :

  • Establish and optimize process conditions and technologies to enhance capability and reduce cost.
  • Drive process management projects and introduce new technologies and Best Known Methods (BKM).
  • Evaluate and introduce new equipment/ functionality through demo, H2H, and TOR evaluation processes.
  • Continuously lead detection strategies (IV/IC), systems, and methods to enhance detection performance.
  • Strengthen detection capability to support yield improvement, accelerate learning cycles, and reinforce defense lines.
  • Establish and share BKM related to RAM detection performance, cost, and supplier engagement across sites.
  • Lead problem-solving analysis and corrective actions in top-level task force to ensure rapid recovery for issues and root cause resolution.
  • Collaborate with global peers (HVM/TD) to align strategies and technology roadmaps.
  • Manage cross-functional resources to close technical gaps and drive project execution.
  • Actively participate and share in KEG community to drive new technology and cross-site alignment.
  • Influence DOC2 / TOR spec to include HVM pain point for improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to the team and cross-functional partners.
  • Actively share knowledge and mentor team members to support their technical growth.
  • Influence key decisions within the department and foster a culture of innovation & patent.
  • Establish and optimize business processes to meet program expectations and standards.
  • Track and analyze Fab performance metrics for benchmarking and improvement.
  • Collaborate with TD and Global Procurement to drive supplier competitiveness and cost optimization.

Requirements :

  • Masters/Bachelors in Engineering over 10 years experience
  • Relevant working experiences in Metrology
  • Proven capability of dealing with complexity and an ability to utilize resources effectively to bring clarity to require actions.
  • Demonstrated the ability to solve problems across multi-functional groups, both within and outside the department
  • Good English skills and the ability to lead and coordinate global teams across cultures and time zones. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with or at other sites.
  • Good communication skill, maintain a strong and open relationship with peer group and appropriate team members in other functional areas such as Process Integration Engineering, Quality Systems, Production Operations Management, and Purchasing.
