• As a Fab Production Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you are responsible for leading and managing a team of operators to achieve production goals related to schedule adherence, quality, cost, and operational efficiency. This role involves setting clear expectations, providing continuous performance feedback, developing improvement plans, and fostering a culture of teamwork, trust, engagement, and accountability.
• You ensure appropriate training is delivered to support site objectives, recognize and reward outstanding performance, and maintain strong, professional communication with peers, customers, management, and cross-functional partners. You oversee the day-to-day performance of a work unit handling moderately complex manufacturing tasks - system solution while proactively driving quality excellence by reducing deviations and ensuring the production of high-quality wafers. The role requires identifying constraints and capability gaps, developing and executing mitigation plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to build and enhance operational infrastructure, including manufacturing system deployment and improvements.
• Additionally, you create, prioritize, and manage multiple productivity and quality improvement initiatives-such as cycle time reduction, RPT improvement, operations simplification, manpower model optimization, and cost reduction-to increase die shipments and reduce die cost. You work closely with management, engineering, and external partners to achieve company objectives, build a strong and collaborative area team, and actively develop and mentor a successor to ensure continuity and long-term team success.
