Job Summary
Micron’s Quality Management System (QMS) is the structured set of interrelated processes we use to implement quality policy and achieve qualityobjectivesacross people,processes, and technology. The QMS Engineer ensures this system is effective, compliant with key standards (e.g., ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 where applicable), and continuously improving-so that qualityremainsa strategic differentiator and Micronremainsour customers’ first choice.
Main Responsibilities:
Own and improverespectiveMicron’s QMS processesanddrive endtoend process clarity, interactions, and documentation.
EnsureandImproveCompliance(e.g., ISO 9001; IATF 16949 for automotive lines), coordinate with sites and auditors, and close findings to standard.
Collaborate with Key Stakeholders to collect requiredinputsand ensure alignment .
To ensure the QMS processchangesare cascaded to thesiteteam.
Track andmonitorkey performance indicators related to the respective QMS processes.
Resolvenon-compliancein the Quality System.
Assistin planning and supporting audits.
Drive quality improvement initiatives and projects andparticipatein cross-functional improvement activities.
Track and Manage CostBudget
Utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI)toolsand Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technologies to enhance effectiveness and driveefficiencyimprovementsin the QMS processes.
Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Job Requirements, Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills
Effective communicator, able to collaborate across all levels
Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning
Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus
Demonstrated leadership and a track record of impact are highly desirable
Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron
Structured thinking and data-driven approaches toidentifyroot causes and implement sustainable solutions.
Attention to details to ensureaccuracy and compliance in documentation, reporting, and execution of tasks.
Familiar with AI tools such asPython, Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerBIand Tableau
Familiarwith engineering principles, quality systems such asFailure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Change Management, Measurement System Analysis, Calibration and other quality and statistical methods and tools will beadvantageous
Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem-solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
