As part of Microsoft Azure, the Azure Networking team designs and builds the network infrastructure that powers hundreds of thousands of servers in datacenters around the globe, providing core network infrastructure services for AI, Azure, Bing, and other Microsoft cloud services. Responsibilities

• Join the Azure Networking Australia team, with opportunities ranging from entry-level to Senior roles focused on large-scale network management and software engineering.
• Identify root causes of network issues and system performance bottlenecks, and develop simple, practical, and implementable technical solutions.
• Work directly with customers to understand their challenges, address pain points, and improve networking experiences.
• Collaborate with teams across Microsoft and with external industry partners to support Azure’s global networking platform and services.
• Support Internet Protocol (IP) address, metadata, and configuration management services, including systems that track Microsoft-owned IP addresses and network ports and validate data accuracy.
• Develop and maintain services that provide the authoritative design of the worldwide Azure network, including router types, network connections, IP address configurations, features, quality controls, alerting, and configuration management.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
• These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
