Senior Software Engineer

As the "Smart Home" business unit, we are the first point of contact for digital products,dataand innovation for all business areas. We are a design partner at eye level for business, providing valuable solutions,impulsesand perspectives for the Miele oftomorrow.

In this position, you will work with us on a continuously growing backend system, which is at the heart ofnumerousdigital innovations. In coordination with our product owner and architect, you will take over the development of new features. An example of these products is a fault diagnosis in the call center and at the customer's site. In this way, you are actively shaping the future at Miele.

Key Responsibilities

• You will further develop,maintainandoptimizethe backend system based on thecommunicatedrequirements,standardsand specifications.

• You will implement RESTful APIs for new digital services and products.

• You are familiar with databases and ideally have already worked with graph databases (RDF).

• You haveexpertisein cloud technologies (e.g.Azure),containerization(e.g.Docker), continuousintegrationand version management (e.g.Git).

• You will analyze existing systems and processes and develop suggestions for improvement to increase efficiency and avoid errors.

Your Skill Set

• You have at least 4 years of Software Engineering experience

• You have in-depth knowledge of Java, have already gained experience withSpring Boot - as well as in the development and documentation of RESTful APIs.

• You enjoy thinking analytically and finding simple solutions to complex issues.

• Youimpresswith your ability to work in a team,initiativeand enthusiasm for innovative digital solutions - and enjoy workingonthe future together with colleagues and customers.

• You are open tonew technologiesand methods and continuously develop yourselfin order tocreate innovative solutions together with the team.

Education:

• You have a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics orcomparableand have in-depth knowledge of Java.
