Senior Trade Marketing Manager (reporting to Commercial Director)

Vax are looking for an experienced Trade Marketing Manager who will be managing all retail channel marketing spend. Delivering full campaigns will be intrinsic to this role - covering everything from supporting with forecasting, budget planning, creative briefing and campaign reporting. It will be your responsibility to bring teams together to illustrate timelines and crucial milestones to hit launch dates and then support with ongoing optimisation. It’s important that you have creative flair, but commerciality is brought to this role - tracking P&L performance alongside brand metrics. Having a strong ability to negotiate will be the opportunity to ensure activations across our direct to consumer and retail channels are in line, as well as challenging budgets and incremental prospects.

We work on a hybrid basis; this role will be working 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home

The role will look for you to develop processes and reporting metrics which will be key to enhancing performance and spending levels - being critical and challenging will be a required quality to push for best execution and performance. You will work hand-in-hand with the commercial teams to hit sales and margin objectives as well as challenging the activation plan for best use on growing brand awareness and sales. Using experience to drive more testing and learning in digital activity, especially in PPC and social media, will see campaigns grow in impact and frequency.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the efficient activation of the retail sales marketing budget - exercising experience and reporting to develop campaigns and performance.
  • Manage the reporting and ROI measurement of the campaigns to prove out successes and opportunities to grow.
  • Working in partnership with retail account managers to align forecasts and agreements to activate budget in line with objectives.
  • Work with key stakeholders to manage full 360 campaigns - delivering on creative briefs, budget and activation planning, execution, optimisation and publishing of ongoing results.
  • Develop reporting and effectiveness measurement of marketing campaigns, particularly focusing on targeting and reach KPIs to drive traditional and digital activation.
  • Ensure a cohesive brand execution of marketing activity, whilst also managing and optimising all product information.
  • Develop and optimise processes to refine and improve timelines, stakeholder input and results - allowing for more opportunities to be accessed.
  • Manage new product launch timelines for the sales and marketing outputs - supporting existing product also, by attending key business meetings and leading comms strategy.
  • Support marketing content development considering channel use and performance to ensure activity is right for audience and constantly evolving using insights and analysis.
  • Deep dive and regularly share updates on competitor and market activity insights. An innovative approach to ways of working is important, but it’s crucial we’re tracking ongoing activity and behaviours.

What we need from you

The experienced candidate will look to have a strong sales & marketing background with sound knowledge of retail marketing and ecommerce. Coupled with this they will also look to have -

  • Strong experience of AMS, PPC, Social Media campaign management
  • Experience in working with large budgets and competitive KPIs
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience with CMS platforms ( We will train you on our systems!)
  • High level of attention to detail and time management
