Robot Operator (80 - 100%)

mimic is an early-stage deep tech robotics & AI start-up based in Zurich and supported by leading VCs. We provide industry workers with a helping hand for tedious manual labor tasks and mitigate labor shortages with a versatile automation platform. Our automation solutions, driven by dexterous robotic hands and cutting-edge AI trained on human observations, bring a new level of AI embodiment to the real world.

As a Robot Operator, you'll generate the data that teaches our robots how to move. Using our teleoperation setup, you'll control our robots to perform manual tasks and collect the demonstrations our models learn from (have a look here!). You'll also test how well our robots carry out tasks autonomously helping us measure their progress.

We're looking for someone that can work from 8am-5pm, 80%-100% (4-5 days).

Responsibilities:

• Teleoperate a humanoid robot system to solve a variety of tasks.
• Annotate and label high-quality datasets.
• Run evaluations to test how well the robot performs tasks on its own.
• Help shape how we operate robots, collect data, and evaluate policies as we grow.

Requirements:

• Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• High attention to detail.
• Tolerance for repetitive work.
• High motivation and problem-solving ability.
• Capable of communicating clearly and collaborating in a team.
• Fluent English speaker.

Nice to have:

• Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or data collection
• Experience with gaming, hand controllers, or VR systems
• An interest in robotics or technology
