We are seeking an experienced Java Application Specialist to join our Front-to-Back Trading Technology Team, delivering innovative solutions for Credit Derivatives and Interest Rate Derivatives workflows. You will develop mission-critical applications that enable real-time risk management, improve resiliency, and enhance DevOps/tooling ecosystems across the trading stack.

The role requires a mix of technical expertise, leadership in application development, and strong stakeholder collaboration to improve efficiency and modernize our technology landscape. Requirements

• Design and build scalable, high-performance back-end solutions using market-leading technologies
• Act as an Application Specialist for front-to-back systems supporting Credit and IR derivatives trading
• Deliver sustainable tooling infrastructure for DevOps, release management, monitoring, and resiliency
• Drive modernization and improvements in existing tech stack, processes, and tooling
• Collaborate in architecture and design reviews, presenting improvements in engineering forums
• Ensure the system supports real-time risk management requirements for global trading workflows
• Mentor team members on engineering best practices and AI-driven tooling adoption

Benefits

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development, building RESTful services and microservices
• Expertise in high-availability service architectures designed for performance and resiliency
• Solid experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or Sybase), with performance optimization knowledge
• Hands-on experience with AI development tools and models applied to software engineering efficiency
• Proven track record of owning and delivering Java-based modules or services in production environments
