Software Tester - Manual & Automation Testing

An established software solutions business is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Software Tester to join its growing team.

This opportunity is suited to an analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong experience in manual and automated software testing, troubleshooting and quality assurance within a software development environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring software quality, system stability and functionality while working closely with development and customer-facing teams.

• Design, develop and execute manual and automated test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, compatibility, API, web and desktop application testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Postman and Node.js/Chai.
• Identify, investigate, document and track software defects through to resolution.
• Conduct regression testing and validate software fixes before release.
• Maintain and manage test cases, defects and testing activities using Azure DevOps.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure system functionality and stability.
• Collaborate with developers and internal stakeholders to investigate technical issues and identify root causes.
• Document testing outcomes, prepare reports and contribute to release documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, automation coverage and overall software quality.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a software testing or quality assurance role.
• Proven experience in both manual and automated software testing.
• Practical experience testing desktop, web and API-based applications.
• Experience using Postman, Node.js/Chai or similar testing and automation tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database-driven applications.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar defect-tracking and test-management platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, fault investigation and problem-solving capabilities.
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Ability to interpret business requirements and technical specifications.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
