About the Role
We are hiring for a Technical Writing Manager, who will lead a team responsible for developing and managing product labeling for life-changing medical devices. This highly collaborative leadership role partners closely with Program Management, Regulatory Affairs, and Change Management teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely documentation that supports product launches worldwide. The ideal candidate brings expertise in technical writing within a regulated industry, a strong understanding of global medical device labeling requirements, and a passion for developing high-performing teams while advancing solutions that improve patient outcomes.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Manages a team comprised of technical writers and project coordinators responsible for writing, editing and document control for labeling content for medical devices.
Partner with Program Management and Regulatory Affairs to align labeling timelines with product launch schedules
Partner with Change Analyst team to align on documentation changes and change order requirements.
Responsible for execution of team goals aligned to departmental OKRs and company priorities
Working knowledge of writing best practices, including FDA or EU MDR labeling requirements.
Coaches, mentors and develops direct reports.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5 years experience working with technical writing or labeling programs in medical device or other highly regulated industry
OR
Advanced Degree and minimum of 3 years experience working with technical writing or labeling programs in medical device or other highly regulated industry
Nice to Have:
Degree in technical writing or similar discipline
Working knowledge of writing best practices
Familiarity with global regulations for medical device labeling, including FDA, EU MDR and ISO requirements.
Cross functional leadership and collaboration across highly matrixed organization
Experience with content management systems (CMS)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience with diabetes, insulin pump, or CGM products
Familiarity with Human Factors and Usability Engineering

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$97,000.00-$165,000.00For roles locatedin California, Seattle WA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and New York City, the salary range is $107,000.00- $183,000.00USD.
Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location. Compensation and benefits information pertainssolely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
