This role offers strong growth potential, including opportunities to lead hardware development efforts, mentor junior engineers, and influence system architecture decisions.

You will become a critical member of a team of engineers, scientists, and space enthusiasts who are passionate about contributing to humanity’s next bold steps in space exploration.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits for space and mission-critical applications
  • Lead schematic design and guide PCB layout to ensure signal integrity, power integrity, and manufacturability
  • Perform and support electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI) analysis, testing, and mitigation strategies
  • Select, qualify, and manage EEE (Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical) parts in accordance with space and high-reliability standards
  • Conduct design reviews (PDR, CDR) and ensure compliance with program requirements and industry standards
  • Support hardware bring-up, debugging, and environmental testing (thermal, vibration, radiation as applicable)
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams
  • Contribute to documentation, including design reports, test procedures, and compliance matrices

Accountability:

  • Delivery of high-quality, reliable hardware designs on schedule
  • Ensuring compliance with EMC and reliability requirements
  • Technical leadership and mentorship within the electrical engineering function

Collaboration:

  • Work with cross-functional engineering teams, program managers, and external partners/suppliers

  • Proven expertise in EMC/EMI design, testing, and mitigation
  • Experience with EEE parts selection and qualification for high-reliability or space environments
  • Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., IPC, MIL, ECSS, NASA guidelines)
  • Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.)
  • Design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT) practices
  • Familiarity with embedded C/C++ or scripting (Python, MATLAB) for testing and automation
