Mitrais has engaged a large Australian software company on an exciting software development project. We're looking for Senior Front-End Developer to be part of the team.
We're looking for an experienced engineer who loves building intuitive, high-performance 3D applications that solve real-world problems. You'll play a key role in creating immersive visual experiences that help users explore and understand complex mining data.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a product, contribute to technical direction, and work with a team that's pushing the boundaries of modern web development and AI-assisted engineering.
What will you be doing???
Building Great 3D Experiences
- You'll be responsible for creating and enhancing a browser-based application that allows users to interact with complex mining datasets, including block models, point clouds, and surface meshes.
- You'll build rich, interactive 3D experiences that are fast, intuitive, and responsive.
- Create user-friendly interfaces that help people work with data, not just view it.
- Develop features, workflows, and tools that make complex information easier to explore and understand.
- Work with modern web technologies such as React, Three.js, TypeScript, and other contemporary front-end frameworks.
Full-stack (highly desirable)
- We're looking for someone who enjoys owning outcomes, not just tasks. If you have full-stack experience, you'll have the opportunity to contribute across the entire application, including the APIs and services that support the visualisation platform. While this isn't essential, it's a valuable addition that would allow you to have an even greater impact.
Working with AI-Powered Development Tools
- Our team embraces agentic engineering and AI-assisted development workflows. You'll work closely with modern engineering tools and agents to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and solve complex problems more effectively.
You''re likely be great if you have
- Demonstrated experience in building 3D modelling / visualisation software in production.
- Proven competence building performant, interactive 3D web applications.
- Proficiency across a range of modern front-end stacks and frameworks
- Experience in agentic engineering and demonstrated ability to do agent orchestration
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, shipping features and functionality rapidly.
- A portfolio demonstrating 3D-visualisation-software work. [Must be able to provide link/s]
Nice to have
- Experience in building geological modelling programs for mining is highly desirable
- Full-stack experience - able to own the backend work that directly serves the front end (the APIs and services feeding the visualisation layer), not just the browser layer.
- Experience with large spatial, scientific, geospatial, or volumetric datasets.
