Position details

This role involves leading the development and implementation of comprehensive process improvement strategies that integrate standardization principles and emphasize efficiency aligned to the MUFG strategic objectives. This role is responsible for strengthening the Process Excellence (PEX) culture and governance framework across the organization through capability building, training, and structured program execution. The individual will play a critical role in enabling employees to adopt Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodologies by conducting engaging in-person and virtual training sessions, embedding process thinking, and driving a continuous improvement mindset aligned with MUFG/MGS strategic objectives. We are looking for a seasoned professional who can effectively partner with stakeholders across levels-from analysts to directors and senior leadership groups-to build process excellence capabilities. The role will focus on coaching teams in process mapping (SIPOC, L1 to L3 level), identifying pain points and opportunities, validating improvement ideas, and ensuring seamless handoff of transformation initiatives to delivery teams such as business analysts and development teams.

The position will also drive large-scale capability-building programs such as roadshows, Train-the-Trainer (TTT) initiatives, and culture-building campaigns, while ensuring governance standards are consistently applied across the organization.

We are looking for an experienced professional to interface with global business and function leaders with accountability for successful delivery of process improvement and transformation projects. The individual should be strong to advocate change and pursue organization change. Ensure the improvement projects are connected to business objectives. The individual must have handled technology projects in addition to regular business improvement projects.

The position will support the Head of Process Excellence team to drive and identify the opportunity, design and activate the solutions for execution through connecting with key stakeholders in MGS/MUFG.

  • Engage and influence stakeholders across all levels, including analysts, managers, directors, and CEO-level forums, demonstrating high professional maturity.
