A market-leading developer of software products for the automotive repair industry; our ROWriter shop management system (www.rowriter.com) is currently deployed in over 4,000 locations throughout the United States and Canada.
POSITION:
We are seeking anIntermediate/SeniorWeb Developer to convertbusiness requirements into functional, standards-compliant websites and web applications that generate revenue, increase productivity, or minimize ongoing costs. This individualleveragesOOP patterns, modernweb technologies, and AI-enabled development practicesto coordinatethedevelopment of highly scalable web applications.The role is expected to work within an AI-Driven Development Lifecycle, where developers use AI tools responsibly across requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, documentation, code review, and production support whilemaintaininghuman oversight, engineering judgment, and accountability for final outcomes.The successful hire will work from the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabadoffice as part of the resource-center team that is an extension of the division-based R&D department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Translate designs into functional Internet applications, websites, and other browser-based tools
Adhere to web development standards for the development team
Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver resultsin a timely manneras an individual and as a technical team member on web projects
The ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities simultaneously
Strong organizational skills and dedication to quality
Must have excellent attention to details
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently on projects
Strong English-speaking ability
Superior interpersonal,verbaland written communication skills
Use AI tools as part of the development workflow to clarify requirements,identifygapsand edge cases, generate or refactor code, create unit and regression tests, improve documentation, and support code reviews whilevalidatingall AI-generated outputs before acceptance
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in computerscienceor technical-related field with courses and training in web design, usability, and development or equivalent experience.
Proven4+ yearsinsoftware development.
Able to createaccuratetime estimates and development plans for upcoming projects, reviews andvalidatesestimates and development tasks from junior team member
Excellent understanding of a broad range of development languages and frameworks including but not limited to ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core, ES6, Bootstrap, REST APIs, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, LINQ, MS SQL Server, JavaScript, and web standards (WCAG 2, HTML5, CSS3, etc.)
Strong understanding of source code management technologies (GIT)
Strong understanding of OOP and Solid principles
Basic working knowledge of Azure DevOps and Jira is desirable
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to develop an understanding of a large and complex code base.
Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Amazon Q Developer, ChatGPT, or similar tools for coding, debugging, documentation, test generation, and technical research
Ability to critically review AI-generated code and technical recommendations for correctness, maintainability, performance, security, architecture fit, and alignment with business requirements
Experience applying AI-DLC or AI-assisted SDLC practices across requirements analysis, design exploration, implementation, automated testing, code review, deployment readiness, and ongoing maintenance

Understanding of caching techniques
Vue.JS
Familiarity with prompt engineering, context engineering, AI coding agents, automated test generation, secure AI usage guidelines, and responsible handling of proprietary or sensitive code when using AI-enabled tools
