MUFG is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to join their dedicated Credit Risk Management team. What you will do:

As a Credit Risk Analyst based in Manila, you will be entrusted with safeguarding the organisation’s exposure by meticulously monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve verifying financial ratios, managing covenant compliance, and ensuring that all data entered into banking systems meets stringent quality standards. You will play an essential role in preparing detailed reports for management review while facilitating open communication between various departments. By conducting training sessions for Front Office staff on credit rules and documentation best practices, you will help foster a culture of shared knowledge and continual improvement. Your ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances will be crucial as you take on new tasks assigned by supervisors. Success in this role hinges on your attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and willingness to collaborate across teams.

  • Monitor the observance of authorities, limits, approval conditions, and required financial ratios as set by regulatory bodies and head office guidelines, ensuring strict adherence at all times.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of facility details and other critical information entered into the bank’s data systems, maintaining high standards of data integrity.
  • Carry out effective control overdue dates for credit applications, customer ratings, credit conditions, instructions requiring reports, collateral due dates, and any pending credit-related items.
  • Check the completeness and accuracy of all required documentation for credit transactions to guarantee compliance with established procedures.
  • Oversee proper loan and credit documentation processes to ensure full adherence to approved terms and conditions throughout each transaction lifecycle.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for other departments, management teams, and head office as required, providing clear insights into risk management activities.
  • Liaise regularly with Front Office Relationship Managers as well as officers from primary offices or credit divisions to facilitate smooth communication regarding credit matters.
  • Conduct credit-related training sessions for Front Office personnel focusing on credit rules, customer onboarding procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by supervising officers from time to time to support departmental objectives.
  • Collaborate with both internal teams such as Operations and Accounting as well as external parties including regulatory authorities and clients.

What you will bring:

To excel as a Credit Risk Analyst in this organisation, you will bring proven experience from previous roles within credit risk management-ideally spanning at least three years in the financial sector. Your educational background in Business or Economics equips you with the theoretical knowledge needed for complex analysis. You are known for your methodical approach; your organisational skills ensure that every aspect of risk monitoring is handled systematically. Your interpersonal abilities make it easy for you to connect with colleagues across different departments-whether supporting Front Office staff or collaborating with Operations teams.   • Demonstrated experience of at least three years within a credit risk management function in the financial services sector is highly desirable for this position.
  • A degree in Business or Economics provides a strong foundation for understanding complex financial concepts relevant to this role.
  • Highly organised approach enables you to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining systematic records of all activities.
  • Excellent communication skills allow you to work effectively with colleagues across Front Office, Operations, Accounting, and other support teams.
