Product Ownership & Strategy

• Define and own the product roadmap for finance and reporting platforms supporting corporate lending
• Align platform capabilities with business, finance, regulatory, and operational priorities
• Drive strategic finance transformation and process improvement initiatives
• Prioritise delivery backlog based on business value, risk, and regulatory commitments
• Act as the primary interface between Finance stakeholders and Technology delivery teams

Finance & Lending Domain Leadership

• Provide SME guidance across:
  • Corporate lending processes
  • Loan accounting
  • Interest accruals
  • Reconciliations
  • Financial adjustments
  • Regulatory reporting
  • Financial controls
• Ensure accurate representation of finance requirements within technology solutions
• Support interpretation of accounting and regulatory impacts of system changes

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with senior stakeholders across:
  • Finance
  • Product Control
  • Treasury
  • Lending Operations
  • Credit Risk
  • Regulatory Reporting
  • Enterprise Technology
• Facilitate governance forums, steering committees, and prioritisation discussions
• Communicate delivery progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership teams

Delivery & Agile Leadership

• Lead Agile product delivery across onshore and offshore teams
• Own backlog management, sprint planning, prioritisation, and release planning
• Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and business outcomes
• Ensure delivered solutions meet operational, financial, and regulatory requirements
• Drive high-quality UAT execution and business sign-off processes

Data, Reporting & Controls

• Oversee financial data lineage and reporting integrity across systems
• Drive reduction of manual adjustments and reconciliation breaks
• Ensure appropriate controls, auditability, and governance are embedded in solutions
• Support regulatory and audit remediation initiatives

Operational & Production Oversight

• Support production issue triage and prioritisation
• Lead root cause analysis for finance and reporting incidents
• Ensure stability and resilience of critical reporting processes
• Coordinate business continuity and operational readiness activities

Required Experience

Domain Expertise

Strong experience in:

• Corporate banking
• Commercial lending
• Syndicated loans
• Financial reporting
• Regulatory reporting
• Reconciliations and adjustments
• Finance transformation programmes

Product Ownership Experience

• 8+ years in banking finance technology or finance change roles
• 3+ years in Product Owner, Lead BA, or Finance Change leadership roles
• Proven experience managing enterprise finance or reporting platforms
• Experience working with Agile delivery models

Technical & Data Knowledge

Strong understanding of:

• Financial systems architecture
• Data warehousing concepts
• SQL and data analysis
• Reporting platforms and BI tools
• System integration concepts
• SDLC and Agile delivery practices

Experience with:

• SQL Server
• Power BI / Tableau / SSRS
• Loan servicing systems
• Finance ledger systems
• Reconciliation platforms
