Sr Network Engineer (Requires regular visits to the Nogales plant)

Candidate must be near Nogales and able to commute to the site as needed (may be weekly).

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Senior Network Engineer at MKS Inc, you will partner with internal teams to support and maintain the company’s network and data communication systems across global operations. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, Network Engineering.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise networks, including AWS and Azure connectivity
• Assisting with network upgrades, performance optimization, and capacity planning
• Supporting firewall operations including Palo Alto and Fortinet
• Deploying and maintaining Aruba wired and wireless network solutions
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network issues across global environments
• Collaborating with teams to support project delivery and operational improvements
• Travel Requirements: Up to 25% of Travel is required
• Ability to work from the Nogales Mexico Manufacturing location as required to complete onsite engineering requirements.

Skills You Bring:

• Associate degree or technical certification in a computer-related field
• 5+ years of experience in networking technologies
• Experience with routing, switching, and enterprise network environments
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and VPN technologies
• Hands-on experience with firewalls such as Palo Alto or Fortinet
• Experience with DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively across teams

Preferred Skills: (Optional)

• Experience with AWS and Azure networking
• Familiarity with Aruba networking technologies
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds
• Basic knowledge of authentication protocols (RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X)

• Reporting Relationships: No direct reports
• Financial Responsibilities: Supports work within defined budgets

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
• Experience maintaining and supporting network infrastructure in a 24/7, On-Call model
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
• Must be able to exchange accurate information
• Operates in a professional office environment
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
