Application Support Lead - ITSM

Job Purpose :

Application Support Lead.

We need an Application Support Lead who ensures uninterrupted system availability, rapid incident resolution, and smooth deployment cycles.

Candidate will not just be managing support tickets; but also safeguarding the technology backbone that drives the business momentum.

Job Location :

Mumbai BKC.

Job Responsibilities :

Operations & Incident Management :

- Own the end-to-end management of critical business applications, ensuring high availability, performance monitoring, and rapid resolution of escalated technical issues.

Team Leadership & Strategy :

- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of support engineers, establishing robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), escalation matrices, and SLA management frameworks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Work closely with software development, infrastructure, and QA teams to troubleshoot root causes, manage patch deployments, setting of DR for the critical applications and conducting live DR, security compliance management of applications and streamline release management.

- Application familiarity like ODIN, Greek.

Vendor & Performance Management :

- Monitor application performance metrics, manage third-party vendor relationships for software solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime.

- Coordinate with business on the requirements and ensure delivery of the same post the feasibility.

Job Requirements :

Qualifications :

- B. Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; MBA or relevant technical certifications are a plus.

Experience :

- 8 - 15 years in IT application support, with at least 3 years leading an application support function.

- Financial services or broking tech environment experience strongly preferred.

Functional Competencies :

- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of enterprise applications, database querying (SQL), API integrations, log analysis, and monitoring tools.

Tools :

- Proficient in ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira), application monitoring platforms, and advanced Excel for MIS reporting.

Behavioral Competencies :

- Sourcing & Team Management: Proven track record of building and managing high-performing technical support teams.
