Senior Software Engineer - AI Native

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform team, you will build and evolve the core infrastructure that powers next-generation developer and operational tooling at Veho. This team is responsible for a multi-tenant, serverless platform that combines Cloudflare Workers, AWS, and AI and LLM systems to enable rapid product development and intelligent automation across the company. You will work at the intersection of platform engineering, distributed systems, and AI-native application development, building systems that are scalable, secure, and deeply integrated with modern LLM capabilities. This is a highly technical role focused on TypeScript-first development, edge computing, and AI-powered workflows, where engineers are expected to be AI-native and leverage LLMs as a core part of both the product and development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• A multi-tenant platform built on Cloudflare Workers for Platforms.
• Serverless infrastructure spanning Cloudflare and AWS.
• AI-powered developer tools and agent-driven workflows.
• Containerised build environments for executing untrusted code safely.
• Internal platforms enabling rapid product iteration and experimentation.
• Design, build, and operate scalable, multi-tenant platform services.
• Develop APIs and systems using TypeScript across edge and cloud environments.
• Architect and implement serverless systems across Cloudflare Workers and AWS.
• Build and integrate AI and LLM-powered features, including agent workflows and tool use.
• Contribute to core platform architecture, including state management, routing, and execution environments.
• Optimise system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency at scale.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and contribute to strong engineering standards.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enable new capabilities on the platform.
• Mentor other engineers and help shape best practices for AI-native development.

Requirements:

• 7 to 8+ years building distributed systems or platform infrastructure.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and backend systems design.
• Deep experience with serverless architectures across Cloudflare Workers and AWS.
• Proven ability to design multi-tenant, scalable systems with strong systems thinking.
• Experience designing scalable APIs and platform abstractions.
• Experience building AI-powered products using LLM APIs and agentic workflows.
• AI-native mindset with LLMs integrated into both product development and daily engineering workflows.
• Strong systems thinking, debugging, and performance optimisation skills.
• Ability to operate in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
