Head of UI/UX

Mondia Group is a global digital technology company operating across the internet and digital commerce space. We help brands, content providers, merchants, and mobile operators reach consumers through technology, partnerships, and digital commerce solutions across multiple international markets.

As Head of UI/UX, you will shape the user experience vision across the product range and help ensure that design decisions are grounded in user needs, strong collaboration, and a high standard of digital experience. This role plays a central part in guiding design leadership and strengthening how user-centred thinking is embedded across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the champion for user experience, making sure that user insights drive design decisions.
• Lead and mentor a team of designers and researchers, drive the weekly meetings, and help them in understanding and advocating for the end user in every aspect of our product design.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders, ensuring user experience considerations are integrated throughout the product development process.
• Create intuitive and elegant UX solutions to user problems.
• Run a user testing programme to deliver continuous improvement for the product portfolio, using data to inform design decisions.
• Design all UX best practises and processes, embedding these into the team.
• Prompt decision making use of data and technical considerations in your thinking
• Keep abreast of the latest trends in user-centred design and advocate for innovative solutions that enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyse their requirements and provide meaningful and intuitive designs ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Develop and test prototypes, storyboards, and process flow for both new product ideas and enhancements to existing products.
• Create and iterate on UI mock-ups, prototypes, and original graphic designs, incorporating user feedback and adhering to style guidelines.
• Identify and resolve UX issues, conduct layout adjustments, and stay ahead with modern, agile design techniques.
• Continuously engage in user research and usability testing to integrate market trends and direct user insights into design decisions
• Comply with Mondia Group policies and procedures and support Mondia Group mission and vision.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by direct manager.

Requirements

Technical Competencies/Skills

• Have ready a portfolio of UX/UI design projects showcasing a range of work.
• Include case studies that detail your design process, user research, problem-solving approach, and the impact of your designs.
• Highlight any projects where you played a key role in user advocacy or user-centered design solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of design software and prototyping tools such as Adobe Suite, Sketch, Zeplin, Figma, and InVision.
• Basic understanding of front-end development technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Excellent command of English is a plus.
• Experience partnering with product managers and developers, presenting to senior leadership, or working across multiple teams and markets is a plus.
• Experience designing for digital commerce, mobile products, content platforms, telecom/operator partnerships, or multi-market international products.
• Experience applying user research, usability testing, prototyping, design systems, or agile product design processes.

Education :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is a plus.

Experience:

• 8+ years of professional experience in UX/UI is a plus.
• 3+ years in a UX/UI leadership role with a focus on user advocacy in design.
• Eligible to work in Egypt.
