Senior Software Engineer - Java

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of advanced features and enhancements in software products.
• Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of complex projects.
• Design and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and Golang.
• Oversee system design and architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with business goals.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and security, proactively addressing technical debt.
• Standardize backend frameworks and architectures in alignment with business objectives.
• Stay ahead of technology trends and contribute to strategic initiatives.
• Adapt to full-stack development when required, stepping into frontend technologies such as Next.js, Angular, Vue.js, etc.
• Apply data structures, algorithms, and coding best practices to develop high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Follow and implement TDD (Test-Driven Development), BDD (Behavior-Driven Development), and DDD (Domain-Driven Design) principles.
• Oversee testing strategies, ensuring robust test coverage and data integrity.
• Set high standards for code quality, leading by example in code reviews.
• Address technical debt and continuously optimize testing processes.
• Ensure robust API design and well-architected microservices.
• Promote best practices in software development, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers in backend best practices.
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions, staying at the forefront of technology trends.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, encouraging upskilling within the team.
• Facilitate effective communication within the team and across departments.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather and clarify complex requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align engineering solutions with business goals.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc. ).
• Strong understanding of system scalability, maintainability, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, etc. ).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Passion for learning and adopting Golang to modernize backend services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and DevOps best practices.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to gather and clarify complex requirements.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers, foster team collaboration, and lead by example.
• Willingness to step into frontend development (Next.js, Angular, Vue.js, etc. ) when needed.
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, coding best practices, and software architecture principles.
• Experience in TDD, BDD, and DDD methodologies to ensure robust and maintainable code.
• Hands-on experience in Golang or a strong willingness to transition from Java.
• Expertise in AWS, troubleshooting strategies, production stability, and monitoring enhancements.
• Experience with performance tuning, distributed systems, and high-availability architectures.
