As a Mechanical Design Engineer - Test Equipment in our Space & Defense Group you will be responsible for design and development of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems that will be used to test the products of Moog, Inc. This position is responsible for design and development of new electrical test equipment, assemblies, and/or processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. You will contribute to the design of test equipment to verify functional performance of products used on military, commercial, and space vehicles.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 3 years’ relevant technical experience
• Self-motivated, critical thinking and strong analytical skills
• Solid modeling and/or drafting experience
• Doors experience a plus

As a Mechanical Design Engineer - Test Equipment, you will be responsible for:

• Operate as key element in a team of creative, independent individuals.
• Contribute to the development of new test equipment through consulting with internal customers.
• Design hydraulic / pneumatic schematics to support new test system designs.
• Integrate hydraulic components into higher level test systems.
• Prepare, support, and guide the work of Assembly and Test technicians supporting your
• development activities.
• Contribute on work estimates for design and development efforts.
• Maintain engineering records, changes made and effects of changes on performance.
• Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.
• Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
• Shares values of “teamwork is a must” and thus good communication is key.
• Coordinate and support the assembly of test equipment.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
