Front-End/UI Designer

Our client is a global software company transforming the way engineering and manufacturing organizations develop and manage complex products. Their platform enables some of the world’s leading manufacturers to accelerate innovation, improve collaboration, and optimize product lifecycle management.

We are seeking a hands-on Front-End/UI Designer focused on design systems and product UI execution to partner with a senior design lead to modernize the user experience of our enterprise PLM and digital thread platform. In this role, you will help increase design throughput, improve UI consistency, and remove day-to-day bottlenecks across multiple teams by turning conceptual ideas into high-quality, buildable UI and evolving our growing design system.

Responsibilities:

• Contributing to and evolving a shared design system (components, tokens, layout patterns) and ensuring visual consistency across apps and services.
• Developing early concepts into thoughtful, high-fidelity UI designs with strong visual clarity that reflect real product use and constraints.
• Supporting multiple product teams with daily UI needs, including layouts, feature interfaces, icons, and detailed specifications to enable engineering delivery.
• Translating conceptual direction into reusable UI structures and actionable deliverables to streamline engineering workflows.
• Owning execution and production work streams autonomously while staying closely aligned with the design lead.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving, high-collaboration environment to continuously eliminate design bottlenecks.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in product UX/UI design within a product environment (B2B SaaS / Enterprise experience preferred over pure agency/consulting).
• Design Systems & UI Execution: Strong expertise in UI execution and hands-on experience working within, contributing to, or maintaining design systems.
• Visual Fundamentals: Mastery of visual design fundamentals, including layout, typography, spacing, hierarchy, and responsive UI patterns.
• Ambiguity & Delivery: Pragmatic, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate evolving requirements and deliver clean, buildable UI solutions efficiently.
• Tools & Technical Familiarity: Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, design tokens) combined with working familiarity with front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS layout models, basic JS/React implementation constraints).
• Communication: Strong English communication skills for collaborating across engineering, product, and design stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

• Ability to take loosely defined problems and produce workable UI solutions without fully defined briefs.
• Comfort designing with real browser implementation constraints in mind (understanding what is feasible in React/modern CSS frameworks).
• Portfolio demonstrating real product UI (shipped or buildable features) and design system contributions rather than purely conceptual or marketing design.
• Interest in growing toward advanced design, UI architecture, or design-technology hybrid roles.
