As a Staff Software Engineer (with Kotlin/Java), you will play a key role in a cross-functional engineering team, shaping, scaling, and delivering robust e-commerce applications. You’ll combine strong technical expertise with mentoring engineers, driving technical excellence, and providing impactful solutions.

Responsibilities:

Technical Ownership

• Lead the architecture, scalability, and performance of e-commerce applications.
• Drive clean, maintainable, and performant systems using best practices.
• Contribute hands-on to the codebase when needed and guide technical discussions.
• Set technical strategy anticipating future platform needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product, Design, UX, and Program Management to align goals and deliver roadmap objectives.
• Establish strong relationships with stakeholders to balance product and technical priorities.
• Identify dependencies and remove blockers across engineering, design, and product.

Culture & Continuous Improvement

• Promote engineering efficiency, automation, and re-use through design patterns and modern practices.
• Define and measure KPIs to track team performance and business impact.
• Advocate for code quality and continuous learning through reviews, design docs, and knowledge-sharing.

Requirements:

Technical Expertise

• 6+ years of software development experience, with commercial deployments in production.
• Strong knowledge of Java/Kotlin and modern backend ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of agile, lean, and DevOps principles.

Collaboration & Communication

• Strong interpersonal skills with empathy for engineers, customers, and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluent English, to drive alignment and clarity across teams.
• Passion for technology, elegant code, and innovative problem-solving.
