Department OverviewThe TETRA Devices Software Engineering organization, a key component of the TETRA Devices business segment at Motorola Solutions, consists of a diverse group of product architects, solutions architects, software engineers and test engineers. We are situated across various global locations, working collaboratively to develop next-generation solutions that serve our mission critical customers. It is these mission critical customers that trust and rely on TETRA Devices to be their best in the moments that matter.
The TETRA Devices Software Team follows modern software development practices such as continuous integration/continuous deployment, DevOps, component-level and system-level automated testing. We use Agile methodologies to organize our work and we are responsible for end-to-end software development life-cycle. As a TETRA Device Software Team member, you will be responsible for delivering uncompromising quality solutions for a customer base that demands the highest level of assurance that their needs will be served with the products and solutions you develop
Job Description
Responsibilities
Providing global product ownership for the Software Features for first responder communication devices. This includes the prioritization and authorization of the content that defines each software release.
Defining requirements for both Linux and Android based applications that support the mission critical markets.
Conducting Voice of Customer Research to better understand customer challenges and opportunities and then working to create solutions to said issues.
Setting product vision, strategy and roadmaps with a view of growing market share.
Attend customer meetings representing Motorola Solutions. This includes Voice of Customer research, reviewing roadmaps, addressing product concerns, etc.
Evaluating the benefits of AI (Artificial Intelligence) solutions for customers.
Managing business priorities based on input from leadership and key stakeholders, and working with multiple engineering sites to deliver those priorities
Documenting product requirements, user stories & offer strategy
Creating a business case and financial goals
Work with enablement organizations to make products orderable and deliverable
Support go to market activities & facilitate sales and channel training
Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Strategic partner and third party supplier management
An overall owner of the product / software release from content ideation to delivery to the customer.
Basic Requirements

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are a necessity
- Polished presentation skills for internal and external audiences
- Proactive, enthusiastic attitude toward challenging problems
- Capable of quickly evaluating and prioritizing new projects alongside customer feedback
- Strong ability to take complex user requirements and distill them into a format that can be understood by developers as well as non-technical staff.
- Ability to research and analyze project requirements from various stakeholders
- Ability to understand market trends, financial data, and customer needs and assess competitive intelligence data.
- Can quickly understand new technical concepts and their impact on the business/market
- Build consensus among stakeholders
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a diverse, multi-cultural team spread across multiple continents in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to multi-task among various assignments
- Advanced time management and prioritization skills
- Self-motivated and autonomous.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years progressive, relevant technology experience in engineering or Product Planning/Product Marketing/Product Management
- Educated to degree level in a suitable subject - e.g. Engineering with business/marketing, or product management
- Experience with enterprise tools such JIRA, Tableau and Confluence
- Experience with AI based solutions is a benefit.

Fluent in English
Bachelor's degree
MBA or other graduate degree preferred but not required
Travel will range from 10-25%
Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customers.
Must have right to work in Ireland
