Department Overview

We are a thriving and growing company in search of a SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) Team Engineer to join our evidence management team in the vibrant city of Sao Paulo. This full-time position offers the opportunity to play a significant role in the development and growth of our software engineering projects. We are seeking a talented and proactive individual who can contribute to our team’s success and foster a spirit of collaboration within the company.

Job Description

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you operate at the critical intersection of software engineering and scalable systems. We are looking for an engineer who views infrastructure through the lens of code and treats reliability as a foundational feature. In this role, you serve as the final point of escalation for complex production issues, maintaining a 360-degree view of the stack-from application logic down to the kernel and networking layers.

You will join a high-impact, collaborative team in Sao Paulo that values proactive problem-solving and engineering rigor. You won't just deploy infrastructure; you will build the "central nervous system" that ensures our life-saving applications are always-on and resilient.

Deep-Dive Troubleshooting & Reliability

• Diagnose complex, intermittent, and high-impact issues to maintain system stability

• Research and utilize advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot ongoing customer issues within live production environments

• Identify single points of failure in the architecture to re-design systems for maximum redundancy and auto-recovery

Code-Level Engineering

• Analyze application source code in Java and Angular to identify memory leaks, race conditions, or inefficient logic

• Propose and implement code fixes directly to improve long-term system reliability rather than simply filing bug tickets

• Adjust kernel parameters and network stack configurations to optimize low-level system performance

Automation & Tooling

• Build internal tooling to empower other engineering teams to self-serve their infrastructure needs

• Develop high-quality automation to ensure that manually solved problems are never repeated

• Tweak database queries and application thread pools to tune the performance of the entire software stack

Incident Management & Response

• Serve as a critical member of the on-call rotation to respond to and mitigate major system outages

• Lead incident command efforts during high-pressure situations to restore service and protect critical data flows

• Conduct post-incident reviews to convert outages into actionable architectural improvements

Basic Requirements

Basic Requirements

Technical Expertise

• 3+ years of experience with Java or Angular to debug and patch application-level reliability issues

• 3+ years of experience with Linux Internals to tune kernel parameters and network stack configurations

• Advanced English Proficiency

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to build automated, repeatable environments

• Expertise in Database Optimization to refine complex queries and improve data retrieval speeds

Professional Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps role to manage high-availability production environments

• 3+ years of experience with Cloud Infrastructure to design resilient and scalable architectures

• Experience in Incident Command to lead the resolution of mission-critical system outages

Soft Skills & Attributes

• Proactive Collaboration to foster a spirit of teamwork and shared accountability across global engineering hubs

• Analytical Thinking to solve "needle-in-the-haystack" problems hidden within massive datasets

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
