About the role
As a Backend Engineer, you will:
Develop and maintain JavaScript code for new features and performance optimisation.
Contribute to improving performance and caching as our platform continues to scale.
Build maintainable, reusable, and reliable code.
Work with our AWS infrastructure to ensure high performance, monitoring, and alerting.
Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver excellent user experiences.
Be an active member of our flat-structured development team, contributing to technical and product strategy discussions.
Implement software development best practices, including testing and code reviews.
About you
Commercial experience with JavaScript, including ES6/7 features.
Experience with Node.js and related frameworks (e.g., Express, Sequelize).
Experience working with relational databases and NoSQL databases.
Understanding of web design patterns.
Experience working in a collaborative, agile team environment.

Interview process
Our interview process contains the following stages:
Initial Screen with Talent Team - 30 minutes
System Design Interview - 60 minutes
Technical Task - 60 minutes
Final Interview - 60 minutes
