Senior QA Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) professional with at least 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in implementing, maintaining, and improving certified management systems.

This role will support the organisation's Integrated Management System (IMS) and Information Security Management System (ISMS), ensuring continued compliance with:

• ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS)
• ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)
• ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS)
• ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS)
• bizSAFE

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to drive certification readiness, compliance, risk management, internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Integrated Management Systems (IMS)

• Maintain and continuously improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Develop, review, and manage policies, procedures, work instructions, forms, and records.
• Coordinate with business units to ensure management system requirements are effectively implemented.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and drive continual improvement.
• Monitor changes to ISO standards and implement necessary updates.

Information Security Management System (ISO/IEC 27001)

• Support the administration and continual improvement of the ISMS.
• Coordinate information security risk assessments, risk treatment plans, and periodic reviews.
• Maintain ISMS documentation, risk registers, policies, procedures, and compliance records.
• Monitor remediation of information security risks, audit findings, and corrective actions.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing evidence and ensuring compliance requirements are met.

Audit & Compliance Management

• Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal audits across ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO/IEC 27001.
• Document audit findings, observations, non-conformities, and improvement opportunities.
• Track corrective and preventive actions through to closure.
• Analyse recurring findings and recommend sustainable improvements.
• Maintain audit schedules, reports, and supporting documentation.

Certification & External Audit Management

• Prepare the organisation for certification, surveillance, and recertification audits.
• Liaise with certification bodies, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate audit evidence collection and documentation readiness.
• Manage follow-up actions arising from external audit findings.
• Maintain certification and audit records.

bizSAFE & Workplace Safety

• Support maintenance of the organisation's bizSAFE certification and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate workplace safety risk assessments, control measures, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Maintain workplace safety documentation and records.
• Support safety audits, reviews, and corrective action initiatives.
• Promote safety awareness and compliance programmes.

Risk Management

• Facilitate risk assessments relating to quality, information security, environmental, and workplace safety management systems.
• Maintain risk registers and coordinate regular reviews with risk owners.
• Track risk mitigation actions and monitor implementation progress.
• Escalate key risk issues and overdue actions where necessary.
• Support management in identifying emerging compliance and operational risks.

Document Control & Records Management

• Administer controlled documentation for IMS and ISMS.
• Maintain document registers, version control, approvals, revisions, and archival requirements.
• Ensure policies, procedures, and forms remain current and compliant.
• Maintain audit evidence and certification records for retrieval during audits.

Management Review & Performance Monitoring

• Coordinate management review meetings for IMS and ISMS.
• Prepare performance reports covering audits, risks, KPIs, non-conformities, and improvement initiatives.
• Track management review actions to closure.
• Monitor compliance metrics and identify trends requiring management attention.

Training & Awareness

Coordinate and conduct awareness programmes on:

• ISO Management Systems
• Information Security
• Quality Management
• Environmental Management
• Workplace Safety & Health
• Internal Audit Requirements
• bizSAFE Compliance

Support induction and refresher training activities.

Maintain training attendance and competency records.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Quality Management, Business Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Workplace Safety & Health, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience supporting or administering ISO-certified management systems.
• Hands-on experience with:ISO/IEC 27001ISO 9001ISO 14001ISO 45001bizSAFE
• Experience conducting internal audits, managing corrective actions, and supporting certification audits.
• Experience maintaining controlled documentation, risk registers, and compliance records.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following certifications or experience will have an advantage:

• ISO/IEC 27001 Internal Auditor
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
• ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Internal Auditor Training
• bizSAFE or Workplace Safety & Health qualifications
• Experience managing Integrated Management Systems (IMS)
• Experience supporting external certification and surveillance audits
• Experience working within multi-business-unit or multi-entity environments
