The Senior Manager: Finance Business Partner will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

Strategic Business Partnering & Performance Management

• Assist in and oversee the formulation of Technology strategy, budgets, forecasts and long-range plans whilst ensuring alignment with Group strategic objectives.

• Monitor and report on progress against budgets, forecasts and plans.

• Proactively analyse and constructively challenge business plans, assumptions and performance outcomes.

• Provide financial insight to Technology leadership on resource allocation, cost optimisation and value creation opportunities.

• Establish measurable performance parameters and KPIs across Technology operations.

• Support Group Finance processes, methodologies and governance standards.

Technology Strategy & Investment Partnering

• Partner with Technology leadership to evaluate and prioritise Technology, AI, automation, cloud, digital and infrastructure investments.

• Provide financial challenge and commercial guidance on technology strategies, transformation programmes and major investment decisions.

• Support development and review of business cases for technology-enabled growth, efficiency and transformation initiatives.

• Evaluate Capex and Opex investment proposals using appropriate financial and valuation methodologies.

• Ensure alignment between technology investment decisions, strategic priorities and shareholder value creation objectives.

Financial Modelling & Decision Support

• Develop and maintain advanced financial models supporting strategic decision-making, investment prioritisation and long-term planning.

• Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling for the budget, forecast and plans.

• Build models to support capital allocation, cost optimisation and portfolio management decisions.

• Translate complex operational, technical and commercial inputs into clear financial insights and recommendations.

• Support valuation and financial assessment of strategic programmes, initiatives and partnerships.

Risk, Governance & Compliance

• Monitor business risks and support implementation of effective mitigation strategies.

• Ensure adherence to Group governance frameworks, approval processes, policies and Delegation of Authority requirements.

• Support compliance with financial, regulatory and governance obligations.

• Promote sound financial management and investment governance across the Technology portfolio.

Finance Technology Enablement & Transformation

• Drive adoption of approved Finance technology, automation, analytics and AI solutions across Group Business Finance.

• Partner with FP&A, Capital Management and Finance Business Partnering teams to identify opportunities for automation and process simplification.

• Champion digital finance capabilities and promote data-driven decision-making.

• Support development and implementation of Finance AI and automation use cases aligned to business priorities and governance requirements.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance Finance productivity, forecasting capability, business partnering effectiveness and insight generation.

Education:

• Minimum 4-year Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline

• CA(SA), CIMA or equivalent professional qualification

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years relevant professional experience

• 5 years management experience or more in; with at least 3 years in relevant sector / industry /area of specialisation (understanding emerging markets advantageous)

• Extensive experience in financial planning & analysis, commercial finance, budgeting, forecasting and performance management

• Strong experience in financial modelling, business case development and investment appraisal

• Experience evaluating large-scale Capex and Opex investment programs

• Demonstrated ability to provide strategic decision support to senior stakeholders

• Experience partnering with Technology and AI business functions will be advantageous

• Exposure to finance transformation, automation or AI initiatives will be advantageous

• Proven success in delivering high-quality financial analysis and strategic insights

• Experience in governance, compliance and investment approval environments

• Strong understanding of value realisation and benefits tracking principles
