Manager, Capital Markets Consulting (Trading, Risk Management or Operations & Finance)

We are looking for experienced consulting and capital markets professionals to join Murex as Managers and become founding members of our growing Mumbai team.

This role offers the opportunity to help build our local presence in India while leading client engagements, developing consulting capabilities, mentoring teams, and driving business growth. Depending on your background and expertise, you will specialize in one of the following areas:

• Trading
• Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
• Operations & Finance

While prior Murex experience is considered an advantage, we encourage applications from professionals working with software vendors, consulting firms, implementation partners, fintechs, and financial institutions who have developed deep functional expertise supporting or delivering capital markets solutions to end users.

You Role

As a Manager, you will lead a portfolio of client engagements while contributing to the growth and development of the Mumbai practice.

Client Delivery & Consulting

• Lead business analysis, requirement gathering, and solution design activities.
• Partner with clients to understand business challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
• Ensure successful project delivery through effective planning, coordination, and quality oversight.
• Lead user workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities.
• Support production and business-as-usual activities, ensuring issues are tracked through to resolution.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and key stakeholders.
• Participate in client presentations, demonstrations, and pre-sales activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery quality and team effectiveness.

Team Leadership

• Recruit, mentor, develop, and manage consulting teams.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Coach team members and support their professional growth.
• Contribute to resource planning and staffing decisions.
• Help establish and grow a strong local consulting capability in Mumbai.

Domain Specializations

Candidates will be considered for the specialization track (Trading, Risk Management, or Operations & Finance) that best matches their experience and career aspirations.

Trading

You will work with clients on front-office business processes and trading activities across capital markets products and asset classes.

Typical areas include:

• Trading workflows and operating models
• Front-office transformation programs
• FX, Fixed Income, Commodities, Equities, and Derivatives
• Trading desk processes and user requirements
• Pricing, valuation, and trading-related analytics

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

You will help financial institutions strengthen risk management frameworks and meet regulatory and business requirements.

Typical areas include:

• Market Risk
• Credit Risk
• Counterparty Risk
• Risk analytics and reporting
• Capital and regulatory compliance initiatives
• Risk management operating models

Operations & Finance

You will support clients in optimizing treasury, post-trade, operational, and finance functions across the transaction lifecycle.

Typical areas include:

• Treasury and capital markets operations
• Transaction processing and settlements
• SWIFT and operational workflows
• Financial product accounting
• P&L analysis and control
• Back-office and post-trade transformation initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• 7+ years of experience in Trading, Risk Management, Treasury, Operations, Finance, Capital Markets Consulting, or Financial Technology.
• Previous people management, mentoring, or leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and financial products.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Ability to lead discussions, workshops, and client engagements.
• Collaborative mindset with strong relationship-building skills.
• Entrepreneurial attitude, hands-on approach, and willingness to build something new.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Murex or other capital markets platforms such as Calypso, Adenza, Finastra, ION, FIS, Charles River, Aladdin, Summit, or similar solutions.
• Experience delivering software implementation or transformation projects within financial institutions.
• Exposure to global banking, treasury, trading, risk, or capital markets environments.
