• Are studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Have some programming experience through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships

• Are interested in developer platforms, automation, cloud technologies, or systems programming

• Are eager to learn and explore new technologies
• Language skills: fluent in English and German
• Experience with technologies such as Python, Rust, C++, Bash, Git, CI/CD platforms, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure-as-Code tools is a plus, but not required
• Working from the Walldorf office is required once per week

Join our ABAP Kernel Developer Tools team and help build the infrastructure that powers one of SAP's most established and mission-critical technology stacks

Your responsibilities may include:

• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
• Developing and improving internal developer tools
• Supporting cloud-native infrastructure based on Kubernetes
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Working with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies
• Collaborating with developers to improve engineering productivity and workflows

The ABAP Kernel Developer Tools team is a small, highly collaborative team responsible for the infrastructure behind ABAP kernel development. We enjoy a high degree of freedom in selecting technologies and shaping our solutions. Our work spans from maintaining essential engineering systems to building brand-new tooling and cloud-based platforms, giving team members the opportunity to make a visible impact from day one

You'll have the chance to:

• Contribute to tools and infrastructure used by SAP engineers worldwide
• Learn modern CI/CD, cloud, and platform engineering practices
• Gain exposure to systems programming and developer productivity tooling
• Work with technologies including Rust, modern C++, Python, Bash, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks
• Collaborate closely with a small, experienced team that values autonomy and innovation
• Experience firsthand how a decades-long technology platform evolves while adopting modern cloud-native approaches
• Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages
