Senior Estimation Engineer (Fire Doors / Glazing)

Key Duties - Estimation and Commercial Support for Fire Doors & Glazing

• Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates, quotations, and tenders for fire rated doors, screens, and specialist glazing systems.
• Interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings, project specifications, and compliance standards related to fire safety and performance glazing.
• Engage directly with contractors, architects, and consultants, responding to technical queries and providing support throughout project lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and procurement to optimise solutions, costs, and delivery timelines.
• Track project changes, evaluate potential impacts on cost and programme, and revise estimates accordingly.
• Proactively identify and pursue new commercial opportunities in targeted construction and architectural sectors.

Essential Technical Knowledge - Fire Doors, Security Glazing & Regulations

• Comprehensive understanding of fire door and specialist glazing products, including steel and aluminium systems.
• Strong familiarity with fire safety standards: BS, EN, and relevant building regulations for fire doors and fire-resistant glazing.
• Ability to review, interpret, and clarify technical submittals, certification requirements, and specification documentation.
• Experience working with construction drawings, bills of quantities, and digital measurement tools.
• High proficiency in estimation and project management software.
