Lead - Software Engineering

As a Lead Engineer, you will combine deep technical expertise with critical thinking to identify transformative opportunities, architect and build robust solutions, and shepherd them through to production. You will partner closely with senior engineers, architects, business analysts, product leaders, and customers across Nasdaq to deliver measurable improvements in how we develop, test, and deliver our Digital Asset Tokenisaton Platform.

Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bengaluru, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

Your roles and responsibilities include :

• Reviews independently system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs; implements and maintains software solutions and is generally given more difficult technical challenges.

• Determines systems software design requirements. Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities.

• Develops security solutions for assignments increasing in complexity.
• Provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.

• Develops program logic for new applications or analyses and modifies logic in existing applications.

• Modifies existing internal software products to add to new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability.

• Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency and makes changes as required.

• Ensures that applications are compatible across multiple platforms and browsers.

• Uses deep technical knowledge to design, code, test and/or customize software solutions to meet or exceed client requirements, adding market/industry trends as necessary.

• May be developing as a generalist and become more involved in various aspects of a project including firmware, hardware, architecture, database warehouse and mining, database design and analysis, software development and testing.

• Has basic or good knowledge of best practices and how own area of expertise integrates with others.
• Understands key business drivers and is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

• Provides informal guidance for colleagues with less experience.

• Plans and prioritizes work using resources in the best possible way to complete tasks on time and with high quality.

We expect you to have: (Minimum Qualifications)

• Minimum of 9-12 years years of software development experience with primary skills in Core Java, Spring Boot, AWS Cloud Infrastructure, Kubernetes, Docker, AI tools.

• Must have worked on any of the blockchain network expertise.

• Cross-Domain Problem Solving Rapidly contextualize and operate across business domains to tailor AI and automation solutions that deliver real business value.

• Strategic Teamwork - Partner with development, QA, product management, and business teams across Nasdaq to translate complex requirements into actionable, high-impact technical solutions.

• Drive Continuous Improvement - Stay at the cutting edge of emerging AI/ML technologies, tools, and standard processes; champion a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the team.

• Mentorship & Capability Uplift - Act as a senior technical leader, sharing AI and automation expertise across the wider team and contributing to the professional development of colleagues.

• Stakeholder Communication - Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical customers, including senior leadership.
• Education Qualification: BE with Computer Science.

• Capital Market Domain Exposure

• Experience in working with AWS Cloud

• Exposure to ReactJS framework

• AI awareness and familiarity in using AI Tools
