The National Football League is America's premier professional American football league, consisting of 32 member franchises divided across two conferences. The organization manages league governance, media rights, global distribution, and event operations, culminating each season in the Super Bowl. Beyond on-field competition, it operates a vast entertainment ecosystem spanning digital media, broadcasting, licensing, and community programs.

The NFL Marketing Strategy & Insights team serves as the voice and advocate of NFL fans, leveraging diverse data sources to generate actionable insights that help inform League-wide business decisions and optimization. The Associate, Marketing Science and Strategy will support research and analysis across media, marketing, and key fan development priorities. This role is ideal for a curious, flexible, and detail-oriented professional who can help design and execute research, analyze syndicated and proprietary data, and translate findings into clear, strategic insights for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of primary research projects for the NFL.
  • Manage research initiatives by coordinating with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to help ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Create story-driven reports that translate research findings into strategic insights for teams across NFL Media, Marketing, Sponsorship, Club and other key areas.
  • Serve as a research resource and voice of the fan by supporting study development, methodology selection, survey design, data weighting, and reporting recommendations.
  • Use research tools and platforms, including MarketSight, Sports Poll, YouGov, and AceMetrix, to pull, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Provide support across Consumer Insights projects, including ad hoc analyses and custom research studies throughout the year.
  • Ensure research and insights work reflects best-in-class diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in market research, consumer insights, analytics, consumer behavior, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of quantitative research, including the ability to write surveys aligned to business questions and research objectives.
  • Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into concise, creative, and insightful reports for a diverse business audience.
  • Strong project management, relationship-building, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with a range of research methods preferred.
  • Understanding of the application of various analytic techniques preferred.
  • Experience with analytical platforms such as Microsoft Excel, SPSS, or Q.
