Production Supervisor - Optical Manufacturing (3-DAYS/WK, Nights)

We're seeking an experienced PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR for our growing optical manufacturing facility in Plano, TX. Prior relevant experience is necessary.
Schedules: Our night shifts work 3 days/week with 4 days off. Perfect for those wanting to restructure non-work hours or minimize commutes.
- Shift 2A works: Sundays through Tuesdays (3:30 pm - 4:00 am)
- Shift 2B works: Wednesdays through Fridays (3:30 pm - 4:00 am)

General Summary: Responsible for supervising the daily functions of production departments including meeting production goals, daily goals, hiring and development of staff, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for associates.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages Jobs per Hour in production departments
- Supervises activities in assigned department(s), ensuring work flow and proper utilization of associates
- Ensures older jobs are processed in a timely manner
- Resolves breakage issues to keep breakages low
- Conducts root cause analysis to timely identify issues and minimize disruption to production levels
- Process and review daily reports
- Manages lens and frame inventory as required
- Works to ensure other departments within the lab maintain a steady work flow and works with other department supervisors and production manager to resolve interdepartmental issues
- Trains lead associates, oversees associate training and cross trains associates to effectively perform at multiple stations within the department
- Performs administrative functions including Interviewing and selecting associates, reviewing associate performance, addressing issues, monitoring attendance, scheduling work and vacation time
- Implements SOPs, department policies and procedures; enforces all Company Policies and Procedures
- No specific education level required
- Must demonstrate 3 to 5 years directly related experience
- Prior supervisory experience is required
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of MS Office including word and excel
- Must be able to read and write English
