Internship Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveying Intern to support our Construction and Project team in quantity measurement, cost estimation, tender documentation and project cost management. This internship provides hands-on exposure to construction project operations and practical Quantity Surveying activities.

1. Assist in preparing quantity take-off and measurement for construction works.
2. Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BQ) and cost estimates.
3. Support the preparation and evaluation of tender and contract documents.
4. Assist in monitoring project costs, budgets and material quantities.
5. Conduct site measurements and verification of completed construction works.
6. Assist in reviewing contractors' progress claims and variation orders (VO).
7. Coordinate with project team, contractors and consultants on QS-related matters.
8. Maintain proper documentation, records and filing of project-related documents.
9. Perform other duties and tasks assigned by the superior from time to time.

Requirements

1. Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
2. Basic understanding of construction methods, materials and measurement principles.
3. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
4. Knowledge of AutoCAD or other QS-related software would be an added advantage.
5. Good analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
6. Detail-oriented, responsible and willing to learn.
7. Good communication and teamwork skills.
8. Able to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
