Software Engineer II

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and maintaining custom software using Neighbourly standard coding practices and techniques.
• Responsible for developing functioning solutions based on technical requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring tasks assigned are completed promptly.
• Responsible for documenting and communicating application design, topologies, and architecture in an understandable way to peers and the business.
• Fosters an environment of communication and problem solving, leveraging the Neighbourly Code of Values.
• Assists the team in researching solutions and recommends solutions to meet business requirements.
• Strong query development through SQL, including CRUD operations, Stored Procedures, and Functions utilising standard formatting practices.
• Successfully communicate and work with brand presidents, officers, external contacts, and internal departments to perform responsibilities.
• Perform unit testing and participate in peer reviews.
• Document design and implementation details.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist in onboarding.
• Maintain confidentiality of personal information.
• Interface with others in a professional manner.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Strong ability to understand and utilise JSON and XML.
• Strong ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively.
• Ability and eagerness to learn and adapt quickly to new systems.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Net technologies, with an emphasis on C#.
• Strong knowledge and experience in common API technologies and REST.
• Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, work independently, while remaining a team player.
• Self-starter.
• Ability to work autonomously with little support.
• High computer literacy, including strong experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, is required.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Sense of humour.
• Education: Associate's degree or higher.
• Experience: 4+ years' experience in application development.
