Senior Java Developer

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer professional that will work as a Senior Developer on our product development team. The candidate will participate in the full life cycle of development and will be required to contribute at the stage, starting from requirement analysis, low level technical design, backend and frontend development, unit testing, integration testing, bug fixing, build release and roll out support.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade applications that support key business operations. You will:

• Develop and Enhance: Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Java 7 and Java 8, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Drive Technical Excellence: Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and database issues while promoting best practices and code quality standards.
• Build Robust Data Solutions: Develop and optimize integrations with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, managing schema changes and deployments through Liquibase.
• Leverage Cloud Technologies: Contribute to the deployment and operation of solutions in AWS environments, helping drive cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.
• Influence Architecture Decisions: Participate in application design and technical architecture discussions, ensuring solutions are secure, efficient, and aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality solutions in an agile environment.

What You Will Bring To The Table

You are a skilled and experienced Java professional with a passion for building reliable enterprise applications. Ideally, you will bring:

• 5+ years of proven experience developing and maintaining enterprise applications using Java 7 and Java 8.
• Frontend development experience with JavaScript and JSP.
• Strong database expertise with Oracle and Progress, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Liquibase for database version control and deployment management.
• Knowledge of cloud environments and application deployment on AWS.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and application architecture best practices.
• Experience integrating applications, APIs, and backend services within complex enterprise ecosystems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas Upstream processes and business domains is considered a strong plus.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and collaborating within cross-functional teams.
• English level: Upper Intermediate or higher.
