Electronic Engineer

This role is suited to a technically minded engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, translating concepts into practical solutions, and working across the full product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electronic circuits, systems, and hardware components.
• Participate in the development and integration of electronic products and embedded systems.
• Perform circuit analysis, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and fault-finding.
• Develop and maintain electronic design documentation, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Conduct verification and validation activities to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance with technical requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on product development and system integration.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing electronic designs, functionality, and manufacturing processes.
• Support product testing, debugging, and the resolution of technical issues.
• Assist with the transition of electronic designs from development and prototyping into production.
• Keep up to date with emerging electronic technologies, components, and engineering methodologies.

Minimum Requirements

• A BEng or BSc degree in Electronic Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Strong foundational knowledge of analogue and digital electronics.
• Experience or exposure to electronic circuit design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• An understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller-based designs would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic design tools, simulation software, and PCB design principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• The ability to interpret technical specifications, schematics, and engineering documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team.

Advantageous Experience

• Experience with PCB design, prototyping, and electronic hardware development.
• Exposure to firmware development, C/C++ programming, or microcontroller platforms.
• Knowledge of communication interfaces and electronic system integration.
• Experience with laboratory test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analysers.
• An interest in research and development, product innovation, and advanced engineering solutions.
