A reputable organisation within the Financial Services sector is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its leadership team.
This role extends beyond financial reporting and compliance, offering the opportunity to partner closely with the COO, gain exposure to business operations, and contribute to key strategic initiatives.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening financial controls, managing compliance requirements, supporting collections functions, and assisting with legal and operational matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial control environment and ensure sound governance practices.
- Manage compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Support operational finance functions, including collections oversight and performance monitoring.
- Assist with legal and contractual financial matters.
- Prepare and analyse management reports for executive decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance and identify operational efficiency improvements.
- Partner closely with the COO on strategic and operational initiatives.
- Drive problem-solving across finance, compliance, operational, and business process challenges.
Job Experience and Skills Required
- BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant finance experience.
- Proven Financial Controller or senior finance management experience.
- Financial Services industry experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, governance, and financial controls.
- Exposure to operational finance and collections environments.
- Experience working closely with senior executives and business leadership teams.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
