Platform Engineer

Platform Ownership

• Operate and upgrade K8s clusters (quotas, RBAC, namespaces)
• Own autoscaling, node pools, and capacity planning
• Manage clusters via Rancher (multi-cluster access & visibility)
• Maintain Helm charts (versioning, releases, env configs)

• Define and track SLOs/SLIs
• Lead on-call, incidents, and post-mortems
• Eliminate single points of failure

• Maintain monitoring stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
• Optimize alerting; reduce noise
• Ensure distributed tracing for key services

• Manage Azure DevOps CI/CD with security gates
• Support dev teams while preserving stability

• Manage Azure via Terraform
• Enforce DRY, version-controlled IaC (no drift)

• Right-size workloads and reduce waste
• Report and optimize infrastructure spend

Job Experience and skill required

• 4+ years experience in Infrastructure / platform / SRE roles
• Production-grade K8s experience
• Strong Terraform, remote state, modules, CI-driven apply on Azure
• Proficiency in in at least one Scripting / systems language: Go, Python, Bash
• Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, DNS, TLS, Ingress controllers, service mesh basics
• Linux administration fluency
