Senior Full Stack Mobile Developer

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Development & Maintenance

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using modern mobile development frameworks and technologies.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into responsive, user-friendly mobile applications.
• Integrate mobile applications with APIs, backend services, databases, and third-party platforms.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.

Technical Architecture & Standards

• Design scalable, maintainable, and secure mobile application architectures.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and architecture diagrams.
• Guide decisions around application structure, state management, offline functionality, modularity, performance, and scalability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and proactively manage technical debt.
• Establish and promote mobile development standards and best practices.

Performance & Security

• Monitor and optimise application performance, responsiveness, and stability.
• Implement secure coding practices, including authentication, authorisation, data encryption, and secure storage.
• Investigate and resolve application crashes, defects, and reliability issues using monitoring and analytics tools.

Release & Deployment Management

• Own the end-to-end release process for Android and iOS applications.
• Manage application versioning, build configurations, and deployment environments.
• Ensure consistent release and deployment practices across mobile platforms.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to developers.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party service providers.
• Contribute to software development lifecycle activities, including design, testing, deployment, support, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Diploma in Software Development or a related field.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline will be advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum 6 years' software development experience.
• Proven experience mentoring and guiding developers.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • React Native
  • TypeScript
  • Modern React
  • Android and iOS development
  • Mobile testing tools (TestFlight, emulators, etc.)
  • Redux or other state management frameworks
  • Expo Application Services (EAS)
  • C# / .NET
  • REST APIs
  • Microservices architecture
  • Git version control
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, AWS EventBridge, or similar
  • Cloud platforms (Azure experience advantageous)
  • Third-party system integrations
  • Debugging and performance optimisation in production environments

Advantageous Experience

• Azure DevOps
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Azure Durable Functions
• MSSQL and Cosmos DB
• Non-relational database technologies
• Experience working with international teams across multiple time zones
• Experience within finance, insurance, claims, or invoicing environments
