Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS.
- Build dashboards, reports, maps, KPI boards, and operational tools used across the business.
- Integrate applications with APIs and PostgreSQL databases.
- Ensure applications are secure, responsive, reliable, and aligned with business requirements.
- Write automated tests and participate in code reviews.
- Deploy and support applications through structured DEV, TEST, and Production environments.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to development best practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with:
- React
- TypeScript & JavaScript
- HTML & CSS
- Node.js
- SQL & PostgreSQL
- Git/GitHub
- REST APIs
- Automated testing and modern development practices
- Experience building and supporting production web applications.
Advantageous Experience
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Firebase Hosting and Authentication
- Cloud Run
- Next.js, Vue, Angular, C#, Java, Go, or Rust
- Telecommunications, ISP, Fibre, Utility, or Operational Systems environments
- Experience mentoring junior developers
