What we’relooking for:  

Nexamp is looking to hire a Capital Markets Analyst to join its Capital Markets team. You will support the Capital Markets and Project Finance team in evaluating, structuring, executing, and managing financing transactions across Nexamp’s distributed generation (“DG”) and utility-scale project portfolios. In this role you will be responsible for transaction execution, financial modeling, project finance analysis, funding coordination, and ongoing financing administration. 

We are accepting candidates out of our Boston, MA office, where you will be hybrid. You will report to the Director, Capital Markets. 

What you’ll do:   

  • Maintain and enhance project-level and portfolio-level financial models for DG and utility-scale projects throughout the project lifecycle, including acquisition, development, financing, construction, and operations. 
  • Perform financial analysis, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis to support project evaluation, investment decisions, financing structures, and new market or product opportunities.  
  • Assist with the evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and execution of debt, tax equity, tax credit transfer, and other structured financing transactions for individual projects and project portfolios. 
  • Coordinate internal transaction workstreams, maintain closing and funding checklists, track deliverables, and help ensure that required materials are completed accurately and on schedule throughout the transaction lifecycle. 
  • Prepare and update transaction presentations, financing summaries, qualitative investment memoranda, and internal approval materials for senior management, investment committees, and financing counterparties.  
  • Assist with the ongoing administration of financing facilities, including lender and investor reporting, covenant compliance tracking, consent and waiver requests, and coordination of inputs from internal teams and external counterparties.  

What you’ll bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. 
  • At least 1year of relevant experience in project finance, capital markets, investment banking, renewable energy finance, infrastructure finance, corporate finance, or financial planning and analysis.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including experience building, maintaining, and auditing project-level and portfolio-level financial models.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, scenario and sensitivity analysis, data tables, and model organization and controls.
  • Working knowledge of project finance concepts, including cash flow forecasting, debt sizing, debt service coverage ratios, sources and uses, returns analysis, and financing assumptions.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to produce accurate financial analyses and transaction materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple analyses, deadlines, and transaction deliverables simultaneously.
  • Experience with distributed generation, community solar, utility-scale solar, energy storage, or other renewable energy assets preferred
  • Familiarity with one or more renewable energy financing structures, including construction debt, term debt, tax equity, tax credit transfer, back-leverage, or portfolio financing preferred.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy incentives and programs, including the Investment Tax Credit, Production Tax Credit, tax credit transferability, and relevant state-level programs preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.   
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.

Compensation  

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Nexamp ranges from $78,000 - $87,000. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual bonus programs based on individual and company performance, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans). Additionally, you may be eligible to participate in the Company’s stock option plan. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but is not limited to, skills and qualifications, internal equity, performance, and geographic location.
