Next Job Abroad is a recruitment and relocation service that helps job seekers, many from the Nordic countries and the rest of Europe, find jobs abroad and supports them with applications, interviews and housing at no cost to the candidate. It is run by a small team of about seven people who have lived abroad themselves, and most placements are with employers in Malta, Greece and Spain, often with flights and hotel accommodation included. Its listings are mostly language-specific customer support and content moderation roles for iGaming, banking and technology companies, along with B2B cloud sales, responsible gaming analysts and live casino dealers.

Take a Gap Year - Without Taking a Year Off Your Career.

Want to live abroad, but don't necessarily want to put your career on pause to do it?

You don't have to choose.

We're looking for Swedish speakers who want to relocate to Athens and join an international customer service team specialising in insurance, claims and device protection.

You'll get the experience of living and working abroad while building practical knowledge within an industry you can take with you into your next role.

And no - you don't need to already be an insurance expert.

You'll learn.

More Than Traditional Customer Service

When a customer's laptop breaks, an insured product needs replacing or someone needs to understand what their protection plan actually covers, you'll help them navigate what happens next.

That means you'll gain hands-on experience with the claims journey, rather than simply answering general customer enquiries.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Registering and processing new claims
  • Managing existing claims and providing status updates
  • Explaining insurance coverage, eligibility and terms
  • Helping coordinate repairs and replacements
  • Managing customer complaints and escalations
  • Maintaining accurate case documentation
  • Following internal and regulatory procedures
  • Working across CRM and specialised claims-management systems

The role requires both customer service and accurate case handling, including documentation, data protection and regulatory compliance.

You'll also learn to explain potentially complex insurance issues in plain language and handle challenging situations throughout the customer's claim journey.

Build Experience You Can Actually Use Afterwards

Maybe insurance is where your career ends up.

Maybe it isn't.

Either way, you'll be building transferable experience in areas such as:

Insurance & Claims | Customer Experience | Complaints Handling | GDPR & Compliance | Case Management | CRM Systems | International Operations

You'll receive structured induction training followed by supported on-the-job training, with ongoing refresher training as policies and processes change.

So when your time in Greece eventually comes to an end, you're not just coming home with photos and stories.

You're coming home with international work experience and a stronger CV.

And Did We Mention You'll Be Living in Athens?

Career development is great.

Career development followed by dinner outside in Athens isn't exactly worse.

You'll work on-site in an international environment, giving you the chance to meet people from different countries while experiencing what it's actually like to build a life abroad.

Your evenings and days off are yours to explore Athens, head to the coast, discover Greece or jump on a ferry for a weekend away.

Because developing professionally and having the adventure of your life are not mutually exclusive.

Requirements

You:

  • Speak Swedish fluently
  • Have a good level of English
  • Have completed high school or equivalent
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically
  • Enjoy solving problems and taking ownership
  • Can handle challenging conversations professionally
  • Are organised and pay attention to detail
  • Feel comfortable working across several computer systems
  • Are interested in learning more about insurance and claims
  • Are ready to relocate to Athens

Previous insurance experience isn't the important part.

Curiosity, communication skills and willingness to learn are.

Benefits

You'll have support with both your move and your development.

You can expect:

  • Relocation support to Greece, including flight expenses
  • Hotel accommodation upon arrival
  • Support finding permanent accommodation
  • Competitive salary + 2 extra salaries per year
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Full paid training
  • Healthcare benefits
  • Career development opportunities within an international organisation
  • Free online Greek language courses
  • International and multicultural working environment
  • Community events and social activities

One Year. Two Goals.

You could spend your gap year simply taking a break.

Or you could spend it living in Athens, experiencing another country and building professional experience at the same time.

You don't need to know exactly where your career is heading yet.

That's kind of the point.

Go somewhere new. Learn something useful. Meet people you never would have met otherwise.

Build your CV while building a life abroad.
